His career started in consulting, helping companies to optimize business processes, to advance their IT strategies and to transform their IT organizations. For more than 25 years, Matthias then served Kraft Foods and subsequently Mondelez International in various roles as Country CIO, Regional CIO, global Chief Application Office, Head of IT M&A and most recently Vice President Global Sales Experience within Information & Business Services.
In these roles, he has been responsible to implement a global SAP template in the three geographies around the world. To integrate the businesses of LU biscuit (acquired from Danone) and Cadbury on to the global SAP platform. To carve out the coffee business and create the new IT landscape of the joint-venture Jacobs Douwe Egberts as a big bang golive. To transform the IT delivery model with large outsourcing deals, internal delivery hubs and industrialized factory delivery models. To reduce IT cost down to industry benchmarks. To support business growth with state-of-the-art sales technologies including data science and AI.
